Common: Heading Out
I launched Common a couple of weeks ago -- I just want to say a big thanks to all for the warm response. All the pre-orders are being packed up and shipped out in the next few days–hopefully just beating the Christmas shipping rush. If you live in Vancouver, I'm pleased to say that Common will be available for sale at the Gam Gallery's "Paper Presents" show which opened last week but has it's opening reception Friday, November 28 from 7PM to Midnight. I'm really happy to be a part of the show and have somewhere here in the city that people can leaf through my latest project.
I'm also pleased because Tristesse is also part of this show and it's a great opportunity for people to see a small selection of her work up close. Photographs don't really do them justice but I've included one here anyway–this one is from Sunshine Frere's article on the show for Vancouver is Awesome which is worth a read. If you have the minutes for the reception do come out, we'll be there!
In addition to this Vancouver show I'm actively seeking out a handful of shops and galleries in a number of cities to stock Common; as well, I'm looking at the possibility of doing some print editions with some of the images contained within it. More on those things to come.
A last note for music lovers: As in many previous years, December is time for me to hunker down to work on some kind of reflection on the past year in music. This usually takes the form of playlists and, time permitting, a mix. If this interests you stay tuned...
